An Authentic Chocolate Filled Gulab Jamun Recipe

Chocolate Filled Gulab Jamun is a fun jazz of indian dessert with gooey ooey chocolate, which is a big hit in Indian as well as Internation weddings. Gulab Jamuns stuffed with badam and pista nuts are a common affair but chocolate filled gulab jamun is definitely a sweet surprise. Bitter dark chocolate chips when balanced with the sweetness of gulab jamuns is certainly a double treat. My version of Chocolate Filled Gulab Jamun is simple and innovative. You can also fill jam, gulkand, or any nuts in between. Try it simple recipe, let us know how it turns out.

Note Down The Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Milk Powder
  • 1/4 Cup Maida
  • 2 Cup Sugar
  • 1/4 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Ghee
  • 1/2 Tsp Cardamom Powder
  • Some Chocolate Chips Or Small Cut Pieces Of Chocolate Of Your Choice
  • Oil For Deep Frying
  • Few Spoons Milk To Knead The Dough

Method To Prepare

  1. First prepare the sugar syrup and for preparing that add 2 cups of water and cardamom powder to sugar, boil till all the sugar is dissolved. Keep stiring it to make half thread sugar syrup. The syrup is ready.
  2. Mix the milk with baking powder, maida, ghee and little water, make a smooth dough. Remember softer the dough, softer will be the Gulab Jamuns. Cover it and set aside for half an hour.
  3. Divide the dough into small portions , make balls and fill chocolate chips in it. MAke sure there are no cracks in the balls else oil will drip inside.
  4. Heat oil in a pan for deep fry the jamuns. Fry the jamuns on a low flame. Stir them constantly until golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oil and put them into sugar syrup. Soak for 30 minutes. Better if soaked over night.
