Asian Tuna Salad

An Authentic Asian Tuna Salad Recipe

Asian Tuna a burst of flavours. Tangy taste of soy sauce and sesame oil when combined with salad leaves and tomatoes. It turns out out tender and juicy. Ah my mouth has already started watering. Our Asian Tuna Salad recipe is easy to follow and easy to cook . It is also easy on your stomach. Perfect for all those health- nazzies as it require zero oil and specially for a diabetic as it is only 178 calories per serving.

  • 350 Gm Tuna Steak, Cut Into Strips
  • 3 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tsp Wasabi Paste
  • 1 Tbspp Sake Or Sry White Wine
  • 200 Gm Mixed Salad Leaves
  • 150gm Baby Yellow Tomatoes, Halved
  • 1 Cucumber, Sliced In Wide, Fine Strips
  • 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Lime Juice
  • 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tsp Sesame Oil

Method To Prepare

  1. Mix together the tuna, soya sauce, wasabi and sake or white in a non metallic bowl. Leave to marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Arrange the saladleaves, tomatoes and cucumber on fouor serving plates. Make the dressing by combining all the ingredients in a screw top jar.
  3. Heat a nonstick frying pan over a high heat, add the tuna and fry for about 10 seconds on each side until seared.
  4. Place the tuna on the top of the salad, drizzle with the dressing and serve.
