Lamb kofte Kebabs is a central Asian Cuisine . - 900g Lean Minced Lamb
- 2 Finely Chopped Onions
- Fresh Mint Leaves make Sure It Is Finely Chopped
- Fresh Coriander, Finely Chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Ginger Paste
- 1 Tablespoon Chilli Paste
- 2 Teaspoons Ground Cumin
- 2 Teaspoons Ground Coriander
- 2 Teaspoons Paprika
- 1 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- Salt According To Taste
- Skewer Sticks
Method To Cook
- Take a large bowl and mix minced lamb, onions, mint, coriander, ginger paste, chilli paste, cumin, coriander, paprika, cayenne and salt. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- Shape the lamb mixture into sausages around skewers. Make sure the meat is spread to an even thickness. Refrigerate until you are ready to cook
- Preheat barbeque for high heat, If you want to deep fry it surely you can in that case you can add bread crumbs so that it don't split in the oil.Do heat the oil on high flame but fry on medium heat. One more thing while yu choose to fry it . Make roung balls instead of using skewers.
- Brush the grate with oil and carefully arrange skewers on barbeque. Cook for 10 minutes or until golden brown
As discussed before that this cuisine belongs to Asia land. People there like to serve it gravy with.To serve it with gravy you need to make small kofte. You can barbeque or fry it. Below is the recipe of gravy for Lamb Kofte Kebabs
Ingredients For Gravy Of Kofte Kebabs
- 1 Cup Tomato Puree
- 1 Tbsp Garlic Paste
- 1-1/2 Tbsp Red Chili Powder
- 1 Tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 Tsp All Spice Powder
- 1/2 Cup Onion Paste
- 1 Cup Yogurt
- Salt As Required
- Coriander For Garnishing
- Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic paste,and onion paste.
- Fry for 2-3 minutes. Then add the tomato puree, beaten yogurt and cook further for another 5 minutes.
- Add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, all spice powder and salt.
- Fry till the oil floats on top. Now add the prepared kofte along with 1 ½ cup water.
- Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve
